Lactose monohydrate is one of the sugars found in milk and other dairy products. Lactose monohydrate is one of two forms of a natural sugar that is found in milk, other dairy products and as a food additive.  In the pharmaceutical industry, lactose is used to help form tablets because it has excellent compressibility properties. It is also used to form a diluent powder for dry-powder inhalations. 

Lactose Monohydrate powder can be used as a binder to increase powder volume for preparation of tablet manufacturing and capsule filling. For improved flow the powder is used in combination with Magnesium Stearate Powder.
